Tauranga City Council is focused on providing efficient and reliable transport networks, vibrant business districts and encouraging road safety for all users. This focus is important to enable the considerable growth projected to occur in Tauranga City and the wider Western Bay of Plenty over the next 30 years.
The Parking Team are responsible for ensuring compliance with the city's parking restrictions and use of special vehicle lanes. They also encourage compliance with national rules around vehicle licencing and warrants of fitness so vehicles are safe to be used in and around our city and we are recruiting for a Parking Officer to join this team. to represent Council in the community. As a parking officer and city ambassador you would be responsible for promoting road safety, ensuring economic viability in the CBD through managing illegal parking and encouraging vehicle turnover so parking is available for everyone. Building successful relationships within the community will also be a key part of this role.

This role is required to cover the weekend patrol duties, so you're normal hours of work will be 40 hours per week, and will include four weekdays and Sundays.
