Accessibility, safety and community engagement are all important factors in making a city vibrant. The Regulation Monitoring Team works towards making Tauranga an enjoyable place to live and visit.

As a Parking Officer you will not only monitor and enforce parking legislation, but will be a City Ambassador. Promoting safety, ensuring economic viability in the CBD, building successful relationships with stakeholder and being the face of Tauranga City Council are all important aspects of this role.

We are looking for people who have the following skills and experience:

  • Effective conflict resolution skills
  • Resilience and ability to remain calm & professional in challenging situations
  • Excellent and confident communicator
  • Strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively manage the wide and varied range of customer relationships
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
  • Previous enforcement experience would be advantageous

This role is required to cover the weekend patrol duties, so your normal hours of work will be 40 hours per week, and will include four weekdays and Sundays.
